Imaginisce & Cheery Lynn! Plus my i-Space :)

Such a fun week at Imaginisce and Cheery Lynn Designs! We've teamed up to inspire you with gorgeous paper collections and beautiful dies! Be sure to visit the blogs this week, there are lots of goodies to be won! :)

I was so thrilled to be gifted several Cheery Lynn dies, the selections I received are beautiful! I created a sweet card using Imaginisce's "Sole Sisters" papers and from Cheery Lynn: Mediterranean Lace Rectangle Frame die, Exotic Butterflies dies and Cuties1 border die. And I used my Imaginisce petal roller for the border die to create fun flowers and also added some bling with my i-rock :)

Here's a close-up so you can see the amazing detail on these dies!

Thank you Cheery Lynn Designs!!

Also!
Last week I shared my scrap space with Imaginisce readers and I decided to share on my blog as well :)

In a perfect world, I would have a big beautiful scraproom with all the pretties, bells and whistles. It's my dream to someday have my own craft room to get away, relax and do what I love with paper and glue. But reality is, I live in a small apartment with little space for anything. Maybe some of you can relate to my limited space dilemma? But I'm proud to say I was able to put together my scrap space within a 6ft x 5.5ft area in the corner of my livingroom. It's quite compact and stuffed, but not too shabby.. it works for me! :)

Against the only wall is where I keep stacked drawers and shelves that are completely filled with cardstock, tools, embellishments, stamps, inks, embossing supplies etc.

I rarely ever use my scanner, so on top of my printer is where I keep a caddy of some Imaginisce tools. I love how all my i-Top, i-Rock and d-stress tools and accessories fit so perfectly in there!

Underneath my desk, I have 2 shelf/drawer towers on each side of my chair. I put all of my loose patterned paper in 2gal Ziploc bags below with coordinating embellishments in the drawers above. I have pets and the bags help keep pet dander off my paper, and also, they help in organizing my paper by manufacturer, color, theme etc.

There isn't sufficient lighting in this area of the room and it can get pretty dim, so I installed some lights under each side of my desk so I can easily see and locate my supplies. At the right side of my chair, I keep most of my Imaginisce paper collections and supplies.. like my i-Magicut, i-Bond, sticker stackers, chipboard, diecuts, etc. I like it all there in one place because it's so easy for me to grab anything and everything I need. I was a HUGE fan of Imaginisce way before joining the team, so these drawers are jam packed with many many great Imaginisce collections! :)

On top of my desk is where I keep my pens, markers, scissors, sewing floss, buttons etc and awesome Imaginisce tools.

Well, that's pretty much the entire tour ;) As you can see, it is a bit cramped.. but, what I love most about having a small space is that everything is in reach. My computer is near for inspiration, all of my supplies and tools are either right beside me or directly behind me, and I have enough elbow room to create and make messes :) I also have a little bit of wall space to display some of my favorite projects.

I leave you with a random thought....

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Imaginisce - Mix & Match :)

This week at Imaginisce, we shared projects that used at least 3 different Imaginisce collections. So many of the Imaginisce collections compliment each other with color and fun designs.. it's really easy to combine collections and have a fabulous project!

For my project, I created a layout using Hello Cupcake, Makin Waves and Hippity Hop.

I also tried something new with the design, adding all the circles for some dimension. Looks fun! :)

Be sure to check out all the great projects that were posted this week at Imaginisce

I'll be back tomorrow with another project but I leave you today with a thought...

Imaginisce Tool Extravaganza!

June has been a Tool Extravaganza all month long. On the Imaginisce blog, we've shared projects using the great Imaginisce tools and gadgets :)

For my projects, I chose to use the i-bond..

As soon as I received the i-bond, I was in love. Not only is it super comfortable in my hand, but also cordless. Yes, please!

I made a votive and used the i-bond to create a swirly design. I found a drinking glass at a rummage sale for 10 cents, then used my i-rock template and a marker to stencil the design on the glass. I then followed the dots with my i-bond.

After the glue cooled, I spray painted the entire glass. You could surely add ribbons and such if you prefer, but I chose to go clean and simple. I've tested my candle for a couple hours and the glue will not melt as the candle is burning. Score! :)
Supplies- Imaginisce: i-bond, i-bond glue sticks, i-rock stencil kit. Other- Spray paint, glass, marker.

I also made a fun headband created with globs of glue! I used the i-bond and Imaginisce glitter glue sticks (love those!) to make round shapes onto wax paper. They almost look like little gems or stones. So sparkly!

Then I used the i-bond to adhere them onto an Imaginisce i-top headband. I love how this turned out! It's simple to create, yet super cute!

Supplies- Imaginisce: i-bond, i-bond glitter glue sticks, i-top twist headband. Other- waxed paper

Thanks for joining me today!

Imaginisce - Magni-top Jewelry week! :)

This week at Imaginisce, the Design Team is sharing gorgeous jewelry pieces they've made using the Imaginisce Magni-top jewelry collection which can be used paired with the ever popular I-top. I am in total awe of the pieces the gals have made! Please do visit Imaginisce this week and check them out.. plus, you could win a jewelry collection for yourself just by leaving a comment. What a spectacular week at Imaginisce! :)

For my jewelry project, I made a nautical necklace using Imaginisce Bon Voyage papers.

I used a thin dowel rod to roll up small paper scraps, then used those as spacers between the compass and anchor magnet daddy pendants. I'm a big fan of anything nautical so I made this necklace initially for me but.. my son LOVES it and wants it for himself lol. I would have never guessed Magni-top accessories could be for guys, too! Awesome!

Imaginisce - Teacher Appreciation :)

It's Teacher Appreciation Week at Imaginisce so we're sharing projects we created for our wonderful teachers. I work for our school district and every day I see the tremendous effort and patience being a teacher requires. They really do need our appreciation and thanks as often as possible.

I decided to create this note card set for a teacher friend. A sweet little box with four adorable cards inside and the box is reusable, too! :)

The card design is simple, but the bright colors and patterned papers are really what makes these so cute! I really love this Imaginisce "Geek is Chic" collection... definitely one of my top faves :)

I hope you'll visit Imaginisce during our Teacher Apprectiation Week. There are so many super cute projects to be shared. Plus, there's something really big and special coming up for Facebook Imaginisce! Be sure to like their Facebook page and don't miss out on all the fun! :)

Imaginisce - Hello Cupcake!

Hello Cupcake is the newest Imaginisce collection and this week there's a release party at the Imaginisce blog. :) The design team has created some gorgeous projects! Please do take some time to visit, you're sure to be inspired. :)

I loved playing with Hello Cupcake. You all know that I love color and this line is full of it! Perfect for any birthday or celebration project :)

This layout features my nephew, Drake during his 1st birthday. This poor baby had no clue what the big party fuss was all about and we could rarely get a smile from him. Such a cute baby :)

I also created this gift box and card set pairing up Hello Cupcake with kraft cardstock. I love the bright colors next to the natural kraft :)

Imaginisce & Canvas Corp Blog Hop - decorative pillow

This week Canvas Corp is teaming up with Imaginisce for a blog hop - fun fun fun!! The projects created by the design teams are so beautiful and so creative, you'll love them! And you'll also love the hop prizes.. huge collections of goodies to win at both blogs! Don't miss out on your chance :) See the Imaginisce blog for all the details :)

For my project using Imaginisce and Canvas Corp, I created this decorative pillow..

Supplies used: Imaginisce (i-top 2.0 tool, i-top punch, petal roller, Fabric Roly Rosies, iron bling motif, i-rock mini iron); Canvas Corp (canvas pages, canvas minis, canvas flower, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists); Misc: Floss, thread, red jewels

When I noticed that the Canvas Corp 12x12 fabricpage was actually 2 big pieces of canvas sewn together, I knew right away that I wanted to make a pillow :) I added pillow fluff inside the two layers, then I added that gorgeous canvas flower. The center of the flower is an extra large brad daddy and piece of glimmer misted canvas put together using my i-top. I also added Imaginisce fabric roly rosies, iron-on bling, and canvas leaves also spritzed with glimmer mist.

This pillow pairs up so nicely with my red lap blanket and it really makes a nice addition to my livingroom. :)

Check out Imaginisce and Canvas Corp everyday this week for beautiful inspirational projects and also for your chance to win awesome prizes! Don't miss it :)

Abby Laubenstein (You are here)

For my project to share, I created this bright and colorful headband which includes several colors of The Twinery twine and also Imaginisce "Making Waves".

Everyday Inspiration - Imaginisce

It's amazing the endless inspiration you can find around you if you just look. Dishes, wall decor, magazines, clothing, food packages, bedding ..inspiration is everywhere!

I love retro style decoration pieces and this candle votive is one of my favorite gifts from my son. I love the pattern and knew right away I would use it for my inspiration project at Imaginisce.

I turned the pattern on it's side and created this fun Easter themed layout. I used photos and papers in place of the rectangles and hand-stitched around each of them to mimic the gold border on the votive. I completed my page by adding embellishments and a title.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Hippity Hop collection: papers, die-cuts, chipboard and canvas stickers; Makin' Waves paper); Thickers; mini-alpha stickers; embroidery floss; cardstock

Be sure to visit Imaginisce today for more everyday inspiration projects and all week long as it's I-magine That week.. so many creative ideas and tips!

I hope you all had a fabulous Easter!!

Easter bloom - Imaginisce

I can't believe Easter is this weekend.. so far this year has flown by! I completely missed out on winter and it feels like summer already - it's 85 degrees today! But thankfully we have a few Spring holidays to remind us that it's not summer just yet.

This week at Imaginisce we're sharing Easter inspiration- layouts, cards and other projects :) For my project, I created a layout featuring Braydon's cousin, Lanae.

I used mostly Hippity Hop papers with diecuts and canvas stickers, too - and I added a few Makin Waves papers in there also. So many pretty Spring colors :)

Visit the Imaginsce blog for more Easter inspiration all week :) The design team has created some truly beautiful projects!

Imaginisce April Challenge :)

It's time for another monthly challenge at Imaginisce :) This month you're challenged to create a project using paper piecing - super fun!! The Imaginisce prize is an i-top and accessories (wowza!) so I hope you all will play along!

I have a teacher/friend at work who always has seasonal pretties on her desk.. so for my paper piecing project, I created this summer fun decoration for her.

I began by making a photo copy of the Makin Waves sandcastle Snag'em stamp, then I enlarged it to almost 8 inches. I cut out all the pieces and used each piece as a tracing template for my Makin Waves patterned paper. Then I put it altogether using 3D adhesives. I also added some cute Makin Waves diecuts :)

I hope to see your paper piecing project linked up! See here for all the deets :)

Imaginisce - 1 product 2 ways

Today, Diana and I are featured on the Imaginisce blog sharing how we used one Imaginisce Snag'em stamp 2 different ways :)

For my projects I used the circle frame stamp from the awesome Bon Voyage collection.
First I used the stamp to create this bow/flower that I placed on top of a box :)

It was super simple to make. I stamped on a few different patterned papers and cut them out. Then I made a fold on half the circle, and folded it over. Then glued the folded edge to keep it secure. Then I arranged and glued the circles in a round shape :)

Then I used my i-top and burlap to make an extra large brad for the center :)

I also created this card which I used the stamp as an accent rather than as a sentiment/journal spot.

Check out the Imaginisce blog today to see Diana's beautiful projects!
