so sweet

I'm loving the Pink Paislee watermelon paper in the Artful Delight kit! Along with the layout I posted yesterday, I created this sweet card. It's a design by Latisha Yoast. Love Latisha Yoast's designs!

This month's Artful Delight kit is packed with so many goodies! I've created 2 1page layouts, 1 double layout and 2 cards, and still have much left for several more projects! I'm certainly not finished with this kit! :) Hurry and get yours today! :)

Remember yesterday when I talked about how hard it was to get a photo of my super fast nephew and non-cooperative son? lol Well, they made me eat my words. I got some great shots of them yesterday playing outside. I'm so happy! I can't wait to scrap these photos! :)

Thanks for stopping by! :)

sweetest boy

This week I put together this page about my nephew Drake, using the April kit from Artful Delight :) I love this photo of Drake, he was such a precious baby - what happened!?! lol I usually add a bunch of other stuff to my pages, but I wanted to keep this layout somewhat simple so the focus is more on that sweet lil boy :)

I've been doing really well with my photo-a-day goal. Yay me! However, most of the photos I've taken are of Drake or our pets. My son Braydon is almost 12, he use to love getting his pic taken - but that was occasionally. Now everyday I have the camera in hand and Braydon runs from me, won't let me click. Blah! So Drake and the pets are all I can do. Although, I was thinking about driving around town and capturing my favorite places to relax, play, shop, eat etc... or just places I think are beautiful.

So anyway.. here's one of my daily photos.. it's Drake :) I can't wait to scrap this with Echo Park "Playground" :) I WISH he would've smiled or at least looked my way.. but it was so hard to chase him down and keep him still for a half second, he's such a ball of fire at the park- I was so lucky to even get this shot.

Artful Delight April Kit/Sketch - Yum!

Have you seen this month's kit at Artful Delight? Ohhh it's a whole lot of yummy! It's packed with Pink Paislee, October Afternoon, MME.. 3 of my top faves :) And soooo many fun embellies!

Artful Delight kits sell out quick, so if you're loving this one as much as I do - hurry to purchase your own! :)

This month's AD sketch challenge is a super fun one! I LOVE it and will likely use it again :) If you play along and enter your own layout following this sketch, you could win May's Artful Delight kit!

I created my layout using the Pink Paislee "Hometown Summer" portion of the April kit. Everything I used is included with exception of the corrugated alphas (which were in last month's AD kit), kraft cardstock and the sun diecut. :)

On a side note: Yesterday, my son and I went to the cinema to see "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules". It was a good movie, but I liked the first one alot more. Braydon loved it though, he's a big fan of the book series and is now excitedly waiting for a 3rd Wimpy Kid movie :)

Thanks for visiting!

It's party time again!

Party Time Tuesdays is back! Yay! And we have some exciting news...

Starting this month, PTT will offer a small prize for each month. How do you get entered to win? There will be a random winner drawn each week, their names will go in to the prize drawing at the end of the month. Also, if you play along EACH week this month, your name will be entered as well! (Please note: if you enter multiple times each week, your name will only be entered for the prize once). The winner will be randomly drawn from the entered names and announced on the first Wednesday of the next month.
How super cool is that!? Love it!

Our challenge this week is Anything Goes! Just create any type of birthday greeting card, add a sentiment on the front and share it with us at PTT!

For my card, I used Martha Stewart clear stamps and butterfly punch and also Pink Paisley's "365 degrees" patterned paper.

Hope you'll join us this week!

Merry

Yikes, this is late. I blame it on the sandman lol
I was watching a movie, all comfy on the couch and
konked out. Thankfully my son woke me in time so I
could put together this layout quickly, it's lifted. It also
qualifies for the round picture challenge on
Scrappin-n-Chattin. Woot!

This is my sister and my nephew at the county fair last
summer. I really like this photo and wanted to do
something more crafty with it- but.. well..
it's the sandman's fault. :)

Layout Supplies: Pink Paislee "365 Degrees" 6x6 paper pad, Martha
Stewart circle cutter, mini flowers, brads, grosgrain ribbon, Thickers

Happy June!

In the fall

I've had such a busy and tiring day today, I decided
to keep my first June layout quick and simple without
a lot of embellies.

This is my nephew, Drake, at the park.
My sister and I went there with our kids to
take photos of them. In a downtime, my sister sat
Drake down against the bridge gate just for a rest.
But I saw this as the best photo opportunity.
Sometimes the best photos are captured when
you're not expecting, not posing. I absolutely adore
this photo and think it's one of the best of the day.

This layouts qualifies in the black background
challenge on Scrappin-n-Chattin. I used beautiful
Pink Paislee "Queen Bee" papers and I'm happy to
admit it was all done with scraps!

Layout Supplies: Pink Paislee "Queen Bee" 6x6
paper pad, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type alphas,
Thickers, Gelly Roll white pen, black cardstock.

Don't forget to comment on my previous post for a
chance to win a DeLovely Mini-Deck!
A winner will be announced Friday morning!

Happy June!

Card 4

Today's challenge was to create a prominently red card and also to use 4 different pieces of patterned paper. I used Pink Paislee's Amber Road collection and a mini-stamp set from Studio G. TFL!

A few things

I was fortunate to be chosen as a guest designer for Creative Scrapper's blog birthday bash. I was given a sketch to follow and my completed layout was featured on their blog today along with several other beautiful layouts. Here's the sketch, love it:
Here's my take. I used the My Mind's Eye Little Boy Blue" collection.
I also made a few cards recently.
This card was entered in Scrappin-n-Chattin's trifold card challenge.TFL!

Sisters

I have 3 of them! No brothers.. Just us 4 girls from ages 28-40. Growing up we couldn't stand each other. Cat-fights and all. Now, my sisters are my best friends. It's amazing how close we've become. I'd do anything in the world for each of them. I'd be lost without them.

Here is a LO I did featuring 2 of my 3 sisters, Sarah and Jessica. We all went out for Jessica's 27th birthday. She was 6mos pregnant at the time and lovin every bit of that sundae. Good times.

I used the "Cupid" bundle from Pink Paislee. I really like this collection, its not just for Valentine's :) I entered this layout in the papercut challenge over at Scrappin-n-Chattin. The challenge is to cut out parts of your PP and use it as embellishments.

Queen Bee

Tonight I made a couple cards using some new goodies I bought last week. Pink Paislee's Queen Bee is a beautiful collection of a light mustard yellow, weathered grey and moss green. I love the softer spring-like feel to this line.I also bought a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and couldn't wait to use it, I love it's detail!

The rectangular card qualifies for one of the challenges in Scrappin-n-Chattin. The other, I lifted a design from Kristina Werner.

Thanks for looking!

Party & more cards!

My nephew, Drake, turned 1 y/o on March 8. His 1st birthday party was super great! We all had such a fun day! Here are a few photos...

Here are the birthday boy's parents -- my sister, Jessica and BIL, Nate...Awwwww...My lil guy, Braydon, was the party entertainment lol...Here are Jessica, me (in red), and our other sister Sarah (holding the little booger who is not cooperating with the camera)....There is another sister, Jodi (she's the oldest) but she lives in Pittsburgh now and couldn't make the trip. It feels really weird to have a sister photo without her in it :(

And Drake again... He's just so precious.. I love him sumthin crazy! I'm such a proud Auntie.

Okay! Onto the cards.. I'm still kickin it in this challenge! Woot! 8 days down, 23 to go! lol Here are the latest...

Day 6 - Using Cosmo Cricket's Nutmeg..Day 7 - Using Pink Paislee's Cupid...Day 8 - And here I used DCWV Mod-Retro..

EDLC 2/7 & 2/8

Half way through this challenge on Scrappin-n-Chattin and I'm still lovin it as much as the first day. This is so much fun and I'm getting so much accomplished- awesome!

For Feb 7th, I decided to scrap myself! I used the sketch from the Sketch Inspiration sketch challenge site. The winner receives a $35 GC so I had to give it a try! The photo was taken on Lake Michigan a couple years ago. Good memories. I used the Amber Road collection from Pink Paislee, I'm so in love with these warm colors.Next, for the 8th, my son, Braydon is the star. This is my little guy on his 7th birthday (almost 4 years ago). I think of this day as a special day because it was the last birthday he spent with his father, and also the last before he was diagnosed with type1 juvenile diabetes. This was a time where he felt like a carefree kid, no worries. He grew up so fast after that with the loss of his father and his diagnosis. Anyway, I used Basic Grey's Mellow collection on kraft cardstock. I've been using alot of kraft lately- I love the look of it!
