Artful Delight Sept kit projects :)

Hello! It's sooo good to be back! I was without internet for a bit over a week, very frustrating. But now everything is working alright and I'm so glad to be sharing the projects I've made these past couple weeks. :)

Last weekend was the big Birthday Bash celebration at Artful Delight. I'm so sad that I missed it due to no internet service, I was really looking forward to participating. Boo hoo! Artful Delight celebrated Leeanne's birthday, hosted a great blog hop, introduced the new design team and also offered three great challenges that give you the chance to win AWESOME prizes! The Grand Prize is a 6 month subscription to Artful Delight monthly kits!! Fabulous!! Good news! There's still ONE day left to participate in these challenges and win!! :)

The first challenge is this sketch....
Here is my take on it using the Artful Delight Sept kit...

This is my son.. he's growing so tall, so fast!

The 2nd challenge is this Tic Tac Toe board. Choose any 3 in a row, down, across or diagonally :)

Here's my project.. I chose the bottom row across, kraft, fall theme and border punch..

And the 3rd challenge is to use the colors.. Kraft, Pink & White :) Here is my project...

I know this is super short notice for my blog readers.. but I REALLY hope you can quickly get these challenges completed and entered HERE before midnight EST tonight! You don't want to miss out on your chance to win that 6month kit subscription as well as many other random prizes. See here for all the details! :)

I have a few other projects to share also :) These layouts I put together with the Artful Delight September kit.. and what a great kit it was! I'm so sad to see it all used up lol ;)

My sister, Sarah, and her boyfriend at Roscoe's in Hollywood, CA :)

My sweet little son back in 2000. He still has that precious smile :)

My son and my nephew looking as cute as ever! :)

Thanks for visiting me today! I'll be back tomorrow with another layout to share :)
Have a fantastic weekend!!

If you're here for the TPV Blogaversary Blog Hop, click here! :)

Today I'm sharing a page that I made following the sketch challenge at Artful Delight :) Hope you can join the challenge too, because the winner receives the Artful Delight October kit! Sweet!

Here's the sketch...
This is a great sketch! It allows many ways to interpret it :)
I used the Artful Delight September kit for my layout.
Love this kit! Full of brand new Crate Paper and Jillibean Soup! There's still a few kits left to purchase, so hurry over to Artful Delight to get one for yourself :)
And here's what I created...
This page features me and one of my girlfriends on a girls night out :) (I'm the one in the dark shirt) I surrounded our photos with the Crate Paper "Farmhouse" portion of the kit. I love those warm colors! I turned the sketch on it's side and added a frame.

Hope you'll find some free scrappy time to join Artful Delight's sketch challenge. We'd love to see your page :)

Thanks for visiting!

I'll be back with the boys in July though! :) I'm so excited about the new July Artful Delight kit!! Have you seen it??Ohhhh.. I cannot wait to get this kit in my hands! GORGEOUS, isn't it!? All those My Mind's Eye colors, kites, balloons, clouds.. and American Crafts papers, too! And Maya Road chipboard shapes.. and Thickers.. and buttons.. and Maya Mist.. and Precocious Paper's stars.. and twine.. and.. and... Ahhhhhh!! I have so many crafty ideas goin all at once! New Artful Delight June kit!! :)

This is most definitely my favorite day of the month - when I get to introduce my readers to the new Artful Delight monthly kit!
Woohoo! :) :)

Check out this beauty....
Gorgeous, eh?

Yes... yes it is :) I LOVE all the classic designs and the vintage feel! It includes a few different collections that when put together, make a beautiful kit!

Crate Paper "Portrait", Lily Bee "This & That" and Fancy Pants "It's the little things".. Plus embellies from American Crafts, Prima, Ranger, MME, Precocious Paper etsy shop and more! :)

I must admit, I was a bit anxious when I found out it would be a more feminine kit. The main subject in most of my pictures are the boys - not many girlie pics in my stash. But fear not! lol I have family and friends who have come to my rescue, sharing their photos with me :) Coolness!

Here's a layout I created using June's kit. My mother sent me this photo of she and my older sister Jodi. This was a couple years before I came along, I was 2nd born :)

My layout follows the sketch created by Debbie for the June AD sketch challenge! :)

If you play along in the sketch challenge this month, you'll be put in a drawing to win next month's Artful Delight July kit! Very cool ;) See here for all the details!

Do you love this June kit? Want to win it??? Of course you do! :) Then hop on over to The Paper Variety!! :) Artful Delight is kindly and generously sponsoring TPV this week and the prize is the June kit!! Fabulous, right!? Absolutely!! See here for all the details!

Thanks for stopping by.
I hope to see you join us at Artful Delight and The Paper Variety! :)
Good luck!!

New challenge at TPV :)

A new challenge is up at The Paper Variety and this week it's all about school! :)

I've been working for our school district since my 11 y/o son was a toddler, most recently as a substitute. June 3rd is our last day and I'm anticipating that last bell to ring just as much as is my son. We can't wait for summer vacation.. no school work, sleeping in, enjoying lazy days and staying up late :)

I decided to create a mini book featuring Braydon's school photos from PreK to 3rd grade. I'll make another in a couple years for grades 4 through 8, then another for high school :) I've never made a mini book before, but it was fun :) I really didn't follow any kind of design or give it a nice flow.. I just piled on the pics and embellies. That's a first for me too because normally I'm really particular and everything must be planned out and measured. lol

Here's the cover..

And the inside pages in order..

Braydon repeated 2nd grade. The first time around was really hard for him, it was a difficult year with his health and for our family and his mind wasn't at school.

I really enjoyed putting this together, I think I'll be making more of these :)

I hope you'll join us at TPV by creating a school project and linking it up! You just gotta check out all the DT projects, they are A+ Awesome! And if you're the lucky random winner, you could win the School Spirit kit that I used for my project! Rah Rah Rah!! :)

Hope to see you there! :)
Thanks for visiting me!

can still hop around looking for goodies to win!! :)

Today is also Reveal Day! And as always,
we have a beautiful sketch to work with :)

Here is my take on the sketch...

I thought those framed boxes looked like they could be stacked prezzies so I went with it! :)

I used Crate Paper's "Restoration" 6x6 pad.. such lovely patterns and colors.

Do you like Restoration, too? I hope so because I'm giving it away!
For a chance to win it, become a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post telling me which do you like more on a cold winter night - hot cocoa or hot tea?
You'll then be in the drawing to receive
the 12x12 Crate Paper Restoration collection kit! :)

I will draw a random winner on Wednesday Jan 19th.
Sorry, only US and Canada are eligible to win.

The Paper Variety Challenge 11!

Christmas is coming! Santa is coming!
Our Christmas tree is already up in our home and
pretty soon I'll be shopping for gifts to put under it's
branches! That's why I'm super excited about this week's
challenge at The Paper Variety!

Sounds fun, eh? I loved creating projects for this challenge!

First up is a gift bag using Basic Grey's Jovial collection.
This line is sooo gorgeous, I can't wait to use it again!

I've been seeing a bunch of these cute little
gift boxes popping up on blogs everywhere, so of course
I had to make some too! :)

This one includes Echo Park goodies from their
Everybody Loves Christmas collection.
LOVE!

And I made this one with Crate Paper's Snow Day!
Also LOVE!

These boxes were super easy to make, and I even made the
bow myself using strips of matching paper in the collection.

We really hope you'll join TPV's challenge this week..
we'd love to see your projects! I'm hoping to be inspired by
entries so I can create some more gift wrappings. :)

Scrappy Jo's is our sponsor and here's what you could win....

Sweet, huh? Indeed it is!
Hope to see you soon at The Paper Variety!
