Card Catch-up

This past week Suzanne and I have been so busy with setting up our new challenge blog, The Paper Variety, I've really been a slacker about posting my daily cards. But I have been getting them done and there's just 2 more days left till the Scrappin-n-Chattin 30day card challenge is over! I'm really surprised I've been able to stick with it considering how packed this month has been!

Here are cards I've made this week..

The Paper Variety launches with our very first challenge on Sept 15th! Woohoo! I'm soooooooooo excited! And Paper Poppy Kit Co. will be sponsoring us that week! How cool is that!?! You just gotta check us out, PPKC has such gorgeous kits!!

In the meantime, starting Sept 1st, we're announcing TPV's new Design Team! I am beyond thrilled that September will be here in a few days and we'll be officially starting TPV soon, it's gonna be great! And I hope all of you who enjoy challenge blogs with prizes will join us there!

Card 9

Card challenge #9 was to "go green" and use leaves or a fern fond etc. I don't have any embellishments of such, so instead I cut out my leaf and fern from the background patterned paper, SEI's "Bridgeport" collection. (For some odd reason, the ribbon looks red in the photo, it's really a nice mauvy color. I have bad lighting this late at night)

Hope you all had a fantastic Mother's Day! My son and I just spent the day together watching movies and snugglin. It was a great day!

Discover

Sharing a layout I made this morning. This is my nephew Drake at 9months, and our kitty Logan. I used papers from SEI's "Grandma's Kitchen", I've had them for several years. Feels good to finally use them!

I entered this layout in the faceless challenge over at Scrappin-n-Chattin. The challenge is to feature a person, but not show their face.
