EDLC 2/13 & 2/14

Well it's the 14th day and the 2wk Every Day Layout Contest comes to an end. I did it! I did it! I'm so proud of myself. And proud of all the other gals that accomplished the challenge also. Considering my 2010 scrapbooking goal is one layout every week, I'm way ahead! lol It was great, alot of fun, I'm really glad I challenged myself.

There's chatter in Scrappin-n-Chattin about a 30-day card challenge coming up next month. Sounds like another challenge may be in my near future! :D

For 2/13, I tried something different. I painted the background cardstock, used my cricut to cut the tree, then just place the photo inside a wonky frame. Tieing buttons on the tree branches was something new, too. I really like the look of it. This is a photo of my son, his father and I the summer of 2006 on Braydon's 7th birthday. Scott passed away in Dec06 due to cancer. His favorite color was blue so I wanted to add alot of blue.The last layout for the contest features Braydon enjoying the snow just a few weeks ago. I used Bo Bunny's "Tis the Season" - I really like the color combo.TFL!
