It's Party Time Tuesdays' 3rd week card challenge!
This week the challenge is "Anything Goes", create a
birthday card any way you wish- just be sure to
include your birthday sentiment on the front of the
card. The DT has provided some great inspiration-
check em out! Hope you'll join us this week. :)
For my PTT card, I used sheets from
The Girls Paperie "Paper Girl" line. I'm usually not a
big fan of anything pink, but I received a few sheets
from a kit club a while back and I thought they
would make a pretty card.

Card Supplies: The Girls Paperie "Paper Girl", Martha
Stewart butterfly double punch, Tattered Angels Glimmer
Mist sunshine and patina, natural twine, buttons,
white and pink cardstock.
I've wanted to try Glimmer Mist for awhile. I've been
admiring their galleries and all the different uses and
techniques. I decided to start small and just add some
to the butterfly. My intention was to give it multiple
"spots" of Sunshine and Patina (yellow and a blueish teal) -
but the result turned out mixed and it actually became
greenish. Although it's not the result I wanted, I
thought the color was okay so I went with it. :)

Great card. I've never used Glimmer Mist, but would love to try. Perhaps one color had to be totally dry before adding the other. But learning is half the fun.
ReplyDeleteLove your card, greenish glimmer mist and all. I'm a glimmer mist virgin :x

ReplyDeletei love to play with spritzes, but i find that many of them don't give a vibrant spray - that new Sunshine colour, however, looks HOT and BOLD! *drool*
