This is my 2nd post of the day. See my post below this one to check out the new challenge and my project for The Paper Variety!!

Today Artful Delight is kicking off the new month/year with a new January kit. It's gorgeous and full of lots of My Mind's Eye, Studio Calico, Jillibean Soup and more! This month I received the card kit.. I love all that kraft.. isn't it awesome?

Hurry to purchase yours.. the kits are selling fast! Last I checked, there was just one scrapbook kit and 2 card kits left! Plus, today Leeanne is going to announce some amazing discounts! So be sure to visit the Artful Delight blog to take advantage of a great sale! :)

Also today begins the new January AD sketch challenge. I must say I'm super excited about this particular sketch because yours truly designed it! :) I can't wait to see everyone's interpretation of it. If you're the randomly chosen winner, you'll win the February AD kit! :) And just so you know, I was given a hint of what the February kit will include and it's AWESOME!! So I hope you all play along this month! :)

So here is the sketch...
Pretty, huh? Thank you! :) lol

And here is my take..

As some of you may know, this is my nephew, Drake. He is so stinkin' cute, he thought no one could see him hide behind the tall weeds/flowers. lol It was so adorable. I used the card kit for this layout, which includes patterned papers in 6x6 so I had to do some paper piecing and measuring, but I like how it turned out. I didn't want to over embellish this layout (something that I often do!). I wanted the focus on this sweet lil boy so I just added a few flowers that I fussy-cut from paper and a few of the kraft butterfly stickers. The Studio Calico mask was fun to play with, too! :) I don't normally like to make boy pages with flowers, but when the photo calls for such, I go with it :)

I would LOVE to see your take on the sketch!! I hope you'll join us at Artful Delight! :)

Thanks for stopping by!
