New challenge at TPV :)

A new challenge is up at The Paper Variety and this week it's all about school! :)

I've been working for our school district since my 11 y/o son was a toddler, most recently as a substitute. June 3rd is our last day and I'm anticipating that last bell to ring just as much as is my son. We can't wait for summer vacation.. no school work, sleeping in, enjoying lazy days and staying up late :)

I decided to create a mini book featuring Braydon's school photos from PreK to 3rd grade. I'll make another in a couple years for grades 4 through 8, then another for high school :) I've never made a mini book before, but it was fun :) I really didn't follow any kind of design or give it a nice flow.. I just piled on the pics and embellies. That's a first for me too because normally I'm really particular and everything must be planned out and measured. lol

Here's the cover..

And the inside pages in order..

Braydon repeated 2nd grade. The first time around was really hard for him, it was a difficult year with his health and for our family and his mind wasn't at school.

I really enjoyed putting this together, I think I'll be making more of these :)

I hope you'll join us at TPV by creating a school project and linking it up! You just gotta check out all the DT projects, they are A+ Awesome! And if you're the lucky random winner, you could win the School Spirit kit that I used for my project! Rah Rah Rah!! :)

Hope to see you there! :)
Thanks for visiting me!
