Big News!! & Giveaway!!

For the past few years, I've been surfing scrapbooking challenge sites/blogs, trying to find the best one that suits me and my scrappy style. I enjoy challenging myself, it really helps me to move further in my hobby by trying out new techniques and such.

It's so awesome when I find one that offers a weekly challenge! I love to see a new challenge often. (Who want's to wait a whole month or 2 weeks for the next challenge? Not me!)

It's so awesome when I find one that offers a weekly prize! (Who loves prizes!?? ME!!)

It's so awesome when I find one that has a plethora of challenges which include layouts, cards and projects.

It's so awesome when I find one that has a randomly chosen winner rather than someone handpicked by the founder or voted on by public. (face it, not all of us are professionals) I like to see the "little guy" win sometime, too!

It's so awesome when I find one that has many sponsors which offer a huge variety of goodies to win like paper collections, stamps, kit club packages, Etsy crafts, and more!

It's so awesome when I find one that features a weekly guest designer!

It's so awesome when I find one that has several DT examples to draw inspiration from, rather than none or just a small few.

Never have I found ALL of these great perks in ONE challenge site/blog! Well, there may possibly be a site like this somewhere, but I've never found it- and I've been around the blog block plenty of times.

Well, my friends... I finally found one!! It was easy to locate it because I co-created it! Woohoo!

I've had a dream to be part of a challenge site like this for so long, and I thought that maybe others are searching for the same thing. I realized I had to make it happen. So I partnered with my super sweet friend, Suzanne (who also had the same dream) and together we've opened up The Paper Variety!

We are sooooooo super excited to launch this.. we plan to do everything possible to make it the best challenge blog in the blogosphere!

Right now, we're in the process of concluding set-up, seeking a design team, partnering with sponsors and brainstorming to create challenge ideas. This will take a few weeks.

Our first official weekly challenge will be Sept 15th and every Wednesday thereafter.

In the meantime, throughout the month of August, Suzanne and I are keeping the posts moving by sharing our holiday cards and any layouts or projects we want to share. We've also announced our quest for a design team to provide inspiration for our weekly challenges. And even will be hosting a few giveaways!
